Said Khalequzzaman, General Secretary of the Socialist Party of Bangladesh (SPB), January 29 at a rally and demonstration against US aggression against Venezuela held in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. The SPB General Secretary called on the peoples of the whole world, including Bangladesh, to resist the aggression of the American imperialists and their supporters against the sovereign and popularly elected government of Venezuela.
“US imperialism, driven by its own greed, put the whole world on the brink of war. They kill heads of state / governments of many countries, seize control of oil and other resources of countries such as Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, and destroy their political freedom and sovereignty by direct military invasion. It was when the imperialists were driven from many regions back to their country, when Trump himself was under threat, when Latin American immigrants gathered at the border of his country, the USA, he began a conspiracy to overthrow the democratic and elected government (Nicolas Maduro) of Venezuela - one of Latin American countries producing oil. Previously, several attempts were made to overthrow Nicolas Maduro with the help of imperialist forces. American imperialism seeks to establish its sovereignty over Latin America. It seeks to gain control over the oil resources of Venezuela, "said the Hlydetstsaman.
“The so-called “global democratic forces” of the United States, Britain, Canada and the EU offer their support to the undeleted Guiaido to overthrow the democratically elected government of Maduro. They require re-election within 8 days. In our opinion, who will remain in power, who will remain outside it - everything depends exclusively on the people of this state. The intervention of another country is clearly a violation of international laws and can be considered as an intrusion into the internal affairs of a foreign state. ”
The protesters demanded that the US imperialists and their employees not participate in the internal affairs of Venezuela. They also warned that the consequences of any attempt at an external military invasion would not be very pleasant for the United States. Finally, they urged the government of Bangladesh to express its disgrace to the United States on this issue and called upon the peoples of the world, including the people of Bangladesh, to oppose this heinous act.
