Grigory Grigorievich Andzhievsky was born on October 12, 1892 in a poor fisherman's family, in the small town Kazantip of the Tauride Gubernia, early joined the work, worked as a typesetter in the printing house of Temryuk and Rostov-on-Don, where he performed the tasks of an underground social democratic organization, for which he was arrested and imprisoned.
After his release from prison, he was prematurely drafted into the tsarist army and sent to the front of the first imperialist war. There he continued his revolutionary work among the soldiers against the autocratic system, against the imperialist war.
At the front, Andzhievsky was seriously wounded in 1916 and was sent to Pyatigorsk for treatment at military hospital No. 20, located in the building now occupied by secondary school No. 17. At the hospital, he met with professional revolutionaries S.M. Kirov, a member of the party since 1904 and I.V. Malygin, a member of the party since 1905. Under their leadership and influence becomes a staunch Bolshevik-Leninist.
After recovery G.G. Andzhievsky together with I.V. Malygin is sent to the 113th reserve infantry regiment located in Pyatigorsk. There they launched a vigorous Bolshevik revolutionary activity, agitated and called upon the soldiers to fight for an end to the imperialist war, for the overthrow of the tsarist autocracy. As a result, the soldiers of the marching company refused to go to the front.
After the February 1917 bourgeois-democratic revolution, Andzhievsky and Malygin, remaining in this regiment, led a Bolshevik faction. They subordinated the regiment to their influence, which openly opposed the continuation of the imperialist war, took an active part in demonstrations and disarmed the guards of the ataman of the Pyatigorsk department, gendarmes and the police. The soldiers of the regiment elected comrade. Andzhievsky chairman of the regimental committee and in April 1917 sent him to the first army congress in the city of Tiflis.
By this time, there were 12 people in the organization of the Bolsheviks in Pyatigorsk, including Andzhievsky, Malygin, Yanyshevsky, Pashchenko, Ponomarev, Kuptsov, Tikhonov, Pogorelov, Sukontsev, Peschansky, Peshkov and Shelokhayev, who launched a great revolutionary political work on the organization of the working class and population of the city under the Bolshevik slogans.

Sovdep was still under the influence of the Mensheviks and Socialist-Revolutionaries. Tov. Andzhievsky - a communist since 1917, was the leader of the Bolsheviks. The Bolsheviks fought bitterly against the Mensheviks, Social Revolutionaries and other counter-revolutionary elements in the Sovdep and other organizations of the city, carried out extensive explanatory work among the soldiers, the Cossacks and the population of the city, called for fighting against the policy of the Provisional Government of Kerensky, for the elimination of bourgeois representatives .
On September 20, 1917, the Bolsheviks of Pyatigorsk left the united organization of the RSDLP and formed their Bolshevik committee. The first chairman of the committee was elected comrade. Andzhievsky.
The number of supporters of Bolshevism has increased. The authority of the Bolsheviks and their leader Comrade. In the summer of 1918, when internal counter-revolution lifted its head on Terek, Andzhiyevsky organized a military communist squad and led it into battle against the gangs of General Shkuro, defeating him near the town of Essentuki.
In the first half of September 1918, the leading party and Soviet bodies of the North Caucasus Republic moved to Pyatigorsk. Here he moved with his headquarters b. On the initiative of Andzhievsky, the communists of Pyatigorsk and the front, an extraordinary congress of Soviets was convened in the village of Nevinnomysskaya, which outlawed Sorokin and his gang.
After the elimination of Sorokinism, the struggle was against the hordes of Denikin, detachments of the White Guard generals and colonels who threatened the existence of Soviet power on the Terek.
After the capture of Pyatigorsk white Comrade. By decision of the Tiflis Regional Committee of the RCP (b), Andzhiyevsky was sent to work underground in Baku. Here on August 17, 1919, he was captured by the police of the Azerbaijani Musavatists and an English patrol, then sent to Pyatigorsk, where on August 31 he was executed by white gangs of Denikin.
