On June 16 in Novosibirsk on Lenin Square, a rally was held against the raising by the government of the retirement age, as well as demanding lower prices for gasoline. The organizer was the Committee "Pensioners - for a decent life!" And the party of pensioners of Russia. The All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (AUCPB), RKKP, "New Reds", motorists from Auto-Moto-Association, Novosibirsk branch of the People's Democratic Party, Left Front and several other political and public organizations took an active part in the action.
On the Lenin square more than 300 people gathered. We expected more people. But the government of the Russian Federation not without reason initiated the implementation of the pension reform during the summer season and holidays, as well as the World Cup in football.
The meeting was held under the slogan "No - to raising the retirement age!". The government deceives us into thinking that the alleged pension reform is being carried out for the sake of raising pensions. The purpose of the pension reform is to rob the working people. With the life expectancy of the lowest in Russia among other countries, up to two thirds of the working people will not survive to retirement. The state simply sharply reduces its social obligations to pensioners.
The pension reform is primarily aimed at destroying the female half of the society, since the retirement of grandmothers help their adult children raise their children, manage the household, which grandmothers who are "young" for 8 years can not do.
"Pensioners should have a decent pension and it needs to be significantly increased, but not at the expense of raising the retirement age, which is offered by the government, but due to the nationalization of strategic sectors of the economy," said the representative of the AUCPB Alexei Denisyuk, which evoked the cheers of the rally participants. Enough if the privatizers' plunder of the country!
At the rally, ordinary working people gathered. At the rally there were also many young people, because the pension reform directly affects their future.
The meeting was held under our, red banners and socialist slogans. We, the Bolsheviks, unfurled our party symbols depicting Lenin and Stalin, distributed among the working people the newspaper "The Bolshevik Sickle and the Hammer". From the rostrum of the rally there were calls for struggle for the rights of the working people, for the revival of socialism and Soviet Russia.
The mass action of the working people seriously alarmed the law enforcement agencies. On the eve of the rally, the staff of the "E" Center (to combat extremism) exerted pressure on the organizers not to hold rallies against the pension reform. They also gave us an understanding that next time the authorities will not allow a rally in the city center on Lenin Square.
Despite the invitation, representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation did not participate in the rally. This is not accidental. The first secretary of the Novosibirsk regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Lokot, made a deal with Verbi Travnikov and withdrew his candidacy to governors in favour of the United Russia party in order to retain in 2019 a profitable mayoral seat. This means that the mayor is now on the hook of the presidential administration.
The rally also saw the supporters of Navalny. But they were not the organizers of the rally and they were not given a word. The AUCPB has always consistently and resolutely opposed the liberal "fifth column" that is rocking the boat at the request of its transatlantic hosts in order to destabilize the situation in the country and to disintegrate Russia as a single state. This time, the liberals failed to "saddle" people's discontent.
The presidential administration is afraid of protests and is already considering options for mitigating the parameters of the reform. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to its own sources. According to the newspaper, the Department for Internal Policy collects information on people's reaction to pension reform and discusses ways to "minimize negative reaction." Amendments to the bill will be made by President Vladimir Putin in September.
Thus, the authorities are hesitating, and now it is up to us whether reform will be carried out or not. Hence, it is necessary to continue mass protests in Novosibirsk and throughout the country. Do not "soften the parameters of the reform", but only a complete rejection of it - that's our demand!
"Remember the mass protests against the abolition of preferential travel of pensioners. Despite the fact that the ex-governor Yurchenko stood his ground, he had to give in, "Alexei Denisyuk said at the rally. - Remember, when you wanted to raise utility rates by 15%. Also a wave of protests, so the government was forced again to cede. If we remain silent, they can do anything with us. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the strength and mass protest."
The organizers of the rally decided to hold protests against the pension reform every two weeks and already filed a notice to the mayor's office about holding a rally on Lenin Square on June 28 at 18.00.
No - to pension reform! Everyone - to the rally!
Only in the struggle we will defend our rights!
