"We were not paid a salary, we were kicked out of the hostel. Now we are without a penny of money and on the street. We sit, wait. We came to work. But the attitude towards us is appalling. For the slightest delay or absenteeism on the construction sit we a issued with fines, verbal assaults and insults. We are treated as if we are not people. We have put up with this for a long time, but we do not intend to endure it any longer. We want to get our money and leave here. We do not intend to return to the construction site," said one of the builders.

In Syktyvkar conductors organized a protest action

In mid-May, a strike began in the capital of the Komi Republic. Many conductors did not turn out for work to demonstrate their disagreement with the work rules imposed on them.

They were unable find another way to draw attention to their problems, except to go on strike. The decision to take this measure was arrived at by the Syktyvkar conductors on the day when they were informed of an announcement of new plans to collect money from each unit of transport, the amount of which was increased. When public transport workers learned about this, they could no longer remain silent.

Practically all the conductors  are not officially "on the books", they work for an unofficial or "black" salary, which they receive daily from the sale of tickets. At the same time, earnings are only slightly higher than the subsistence level.

On May 19 in Noyabrsk a rally was held a against the dismissal of employees of the public sector. In this city, more than 170 people, are existing without a source of livelihood. It is very difficult to find work in Noyabrsk.

The protesters were not allowed to hold an event in the city centre, sending them to some  backyard area to hold it.

Such "optimization" of the workforce can be done in other settlements of the region.

Simultaneously, solidarity actions were held in other cities of Yamal - Salekhard, Novy Urengoy, Muravlenko, Tarko-Sale. Mass rallies in France

Protest action, held on May 26 in all major cities of the country, was attended by 250 thousand people. Over 80 thousand protesters took to the streets of Paris.

In the capital, the demonstration was at first calm, but an hour after its inception, the police used tear gas against the demonstrators. 32 people were detained.

Protests against the social and economic policy of Macron under the slogan "People's Tide" were held on the initiative of a coalition of leftist political forces and the largest trade unions of the country. In Paris, the head of one of the trade unions F. Martinez advised the president "to look out the window of his palace and see the real life".

Workers oppose legislative changes that are aimed at reducing the protection of workers' rights and strengthening the powers of the police. President Makron supports tax reform aimed at the big bourgeoisie and destroys the sphere of public services. The demonstrators opposed a government plan that made it difficult for students to attend state universities of their choice, introduces restrictive immigration laws and police-repressive methods in poor areas.

Among its participants were representatives of the working class and pensioners, who directly and will be affected by the state reform.

Protesters are dissatisfied with the content of the draft of this innovation and believe that the government thereby infringes on the rights of the already poorest and least protected sections of the population.
