As early as the morning of April 7, 2019, no one (no one!) in Arkhangelsk could predict how this day would end for the region. The incredible happened.
The people declared their right to take democratic action, carried it out (despite the resistance of the MVD – OMON – Rosguard) and celebrated their victory until late at night, already “guarded” by their “people's militia”.

Resolution of the National rally in Arkhangelsk on April 7, 2019
The rally participants demand from the governor of the Arkhangelsk region Orlov I.A. immediately stop all construction work on the landfill in Shiesa and cancel all agreements on the importation into the territory of the Arkhangelsk region of garbage from other regions.
The rally participants are asking President of the Russian Federation Putin V.V. until May 5, 2019, to consider the issue of the release of I. Orlov from the post of governor of the Arkhangelsk region and his further use in posts where he can benefit the Russian state.
The rally participants appeal to labor collectives, public and political organizations, all residents of the Arkhangelsk region to start preparing and holding on May 19, 2019 the next, fourth nationwide rally (if the requirements are not fulfilled by May 5, 2019). questions ...
Each proposal was separately voted, accepted by an absolute majority and supported by a choral chant.
At the rally there were around 5,000 people.
