In Venezuela, 5 million people went to rallies in support of Maduro
Over 5 million people took part in demonstrations in support of the government in various cities of Venezuela. This was stated by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, speaking at a rally in Caracas.
People took to the streets to show that the streets belong to the people, not oligarchies, the head of state stressed and concluded that “the operation to protect freedom and peace” was a success.
The last action was the third major anti-imperialist march since the beginning of March, when large-scale power outages occurred in Venezuela, Telesur TV channel said. Earlier, Maduro, through Twitter, called on Venezuelans to take to the streets in order to “protect peace and national independence.”
In March in Venezuela, there were interruptions in the operation of power supply systems, the responsibility for which the authorities assigned to the United States.
