APPEAL of the participants of the 19th international Slavic scientific and practical conference to the public of countries and peoples of the world on the issue of Victory symbols
Order of Glory On May 9, in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory over fascism, processions of the Immortal Regiment will be held in many countries of the world. Traditionally, the procession participants are holding portraits and photographs of their fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers, relatives - veterans of the army and navy, partisans, underground fighters, resistance fighters who fought against fascism, many of whom gave their lives for the Victory.
The action “Symbols of Victory”, with which our relatives went into battle against the hated enemy, is inextricably linked with the action “Immortal Regiment”. The main symbol of Victory is the Red Banner, hoisted over defeated Berlin, red banners were in all the fighting military units. Therefore, the participants of the “Immortal Regiment” campaign must go in a column with red badges in the form of flags and asterisks representing the main symbol of Victory. At the same time, another Victory symbol is attached - the Guards (St. George) ribbon.
In the USSR, the guards tape was used, which was a conscious statement of the continuity of the military traditions of the Russian army, where the St. George ribbon was used. The guards tape was used in the design of the medal "For Victory over Germany" and the orders of Glory of three degrees.
In modern history, guards (St. George's) ribbons are worn by Donbass militias fighting against the Neo-Bandera. There, these tapes became symbols of resistance to fascism. It is the guards (St. George's) ribbons that cause fierce anger among the Neo-Bandera in Ukraine during the celebration of Victory Day.
Over the past quarter century, the Guards (St. George's) ribbon has become a symbol of the Russian world, which includes Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians and other peoples. The basis of its foundations - Russia is the main hope of mankind for a fair world order on the planet.
Participants in the 19th International Slavic Scientific and Practical Conference call on activists of the patriotic movement to hold the Immortal Regiment international campaign on May 9 on Victory Day in the full format, possible only by combining this campaign with the Symbols of Victory, under which the victors of fascism fought.
