China prepared to defend the results of World War II with Russia
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced at an annual press conference that he was ready to work with Russia to uphold the outcome of World War II. On Sunday, May 24, according to RIA Novosti.
According to the agency, Wang Yi considers it necessary to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two countries in order to protect the UN Charter and the basic norms of international relations, as well as to strongly oppose any unilateral actions and psychological harassment.
On May 9, it was reported that UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterres called for recall of the lessons of 1945. Guterres stressed that society should not forget "about the Holocaust and other grave and terrible crimes committed by the Nazis." He added that the main task of the UN is to rid future generations of the scourge of war.
